How you can help The Psoriasis Association

In order to sustain and develop the work of the Association we are constantly looking at ways to raise funds. We rely on the goodwill, commitment and generosity of members and others – all efforts are important to us from a coffee morning to a marathon run to a large legacy. Here are some ideas for how you might like to help the Psoriasis Association.

Spread the word – We have got plenty of posters, leaflets and info-cartes that you could ask to be put up in your local surgery, hospital or other public place. Please contact the office if you would like to help us in this way.

Make A Donation

Online Donation -
For secure online donations please use the Donate Now facility or follow the secure link

Postal Donations
- You can donate by post by downloading a donation form and sending cash / a cheque / or credit/debit card details to our finance department

Making Regular Donations - You can make regular donations to the Psoriasis Association by setting up a standing order mandate. Simply print off this standing order form , fill it in and send it back to our finance department

Gift Aid – Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give we get an extra 28 pence from the Inland Revenue, helping your donation to go further. This means that £100 can be turned into £128 just so long as donations are made through Gift Aid. This makes a considerable difference to the Association and doesn't cost you anything. To qualify for Gift Aid what you pay in income tax or capital gains tax must at least equal the amount we will claim in the tax year. Gift Aid can be applied to membership fees, one off donations and sponsorship income, it is just a question of ticking the relevant box on the membership or sponsorship form. All we need is one form completed and the declaration will stand until you notify us otherwise. Simply print off this Gift Aid form , fill it in and send it back to our finance department. For further information please feel free to contact Polly Matthews, our finance officer on 08456 76 00 76, or 01604 251626 or email polly.matthews@psoriasis-association.org.uk

Give As You Earn – If your employer runs a GAYE scheme you could join and make regular donations through your payroll. Persons claiming a company pension can also give in this way, just speak to the personnel department. If your work does not have a GAYE scheme why not ask if they would like to start one? Visit www.giveasyouearn.org for further information.

Legacy – If you would like information about leaving a legacy to The Psoriasis Association please contact Polly Matthews, our Finance Officer via email polly.matthews@psoriasis-association.org.uk or telephone 08456 760076, or 01604 251626

Donations in memory – We are especially grateful to you for thinking of us and sending donations at a time of bereavement. If you require further advice or information, please contact Polly Matthews, our Finance Officer via email polly.matthews@psoriasis-association.org.uk or telephone 08456 760076, or 01604 251626

Are you a runner? Would you like to help raise funds and awareness of psoriasis and the Association?
We have free spaces in the British 10K Run for people who would like to run on our behalf. The run takes place on Sunday July 6th, commencing at Hyde Park Corner, passing through Trafalgar Square, past St. Paul's Cathedral, the London Eye, Big Ben and Parliament and finishes in Whitehall. Runners must be over 15 years of age. For an application form or more information, please contact Laura either via email mail@psoriasis-association.org.uk or telephone 08456 760076.

Other ways in which you can help The Psoriasis Association include; sending in an extra donation with your membership renewal or holding a fundraising event such as a coffee morning, a wine tasting evening or a summer BBQ. Sponsored events provide much appreciated funds to the Association, what about running a 10k race on our behalf, taking part in a readathon or a sponsored cross-stitch.

Please contact the finance department for advice regarding fundraising for the Psoriasis Association or for a fundraising pack containing sponsorship forms and promotional literature.

You can help the Association in a practical way by being a media contact, writing an article for our Journal or being a contact for our enquirers, e.g. if you have experience of UV therapy, methotrexate, ciclosporin or biologics.
