PsoWell Training Programme Launched

The programme aims to equip dermatology specialists with new skills to empower their patients to live better with psoriasis.

We, the Psoriasis Association, are funding Professor Chris Bundy and her team at Cardiff University to roll out the PsoWell (psoriasis and wellbeing) training programme. This novel programme involves a one-day training event that aims to equip dermatology specialists with knowledge and motivational interviewing skills to empower patients with complex psoriasis to manage their condition effectively through lifestyle behaviour change. Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate of approval as a PsoWell service.

Professor Chris Bundy (Cardiff University) and Dr Elise Kleyn (University of Manchester) will deliver up to ten training events across the UK between July and November 2019. Details of the training dates and locations will be announced very soon.

As this is an opportunity to establish a novel clinical approach to be integrated with existing services, we are welcoming applications to attend a training event. The Psoriasis Association will sponsor FREE places to members of a dermatology team to attend a training day. If you wish to attend, please complete and submit the Registering Interest form to: psowell@cardiff.ac.uk.
