Meet Our Researchers

The Psoriasis Association is dedicated to supporting the next generation of psoriasis researchers through our PhD Studentship grants. Watch the videos below to discover more about the important questions our new PhD students will be answering with their research.

As PhD students, these early career researchers will undertake a three year research project that will lead to them being awarded a doctorate degree. However, in order to be awarded a PhD, the student must make a significant contribution to their area of research, i.e. psoriasis research. In the videos below, our 1st year students describe their projects and tell us exactly why their work is so important.

Noeline Nadarajah - What is the long-term safety of Narrowband UVB treatment (NB-UVB)?

Thanos Niaouris - What are the genetic causes of Palmoplantar Pustulosis (PPP)?

Shamarke Esse - Is there an increased risk of cancer with biologic treatments compared to systemic treatments?
