Psoriasis- triggered by blood pressure medication

I am 52, female. Never had Psoriasis until 6 months ago when I started taking Ramipril for high blood pressure. Within a few weeks noticed some patches on my legs but doctor said they were just dry patches. I now have extensive patches all over my legs, torso, arms, head and hands particularly bad. I have seen a dermatologist and prescribed Enstillar foam and phototherapy. Stopped medication about 6 weeks ago but not made any difference to psoriasis which seems to be getting worse. Feeling very down about it all

Hi Anthea, Have you looked at the alternative that both the high blood pressure and psoriasis are co-symptoms of the same problem, rather than the one causing the other? Now that withdrawal from the medication has not relieved the situation, what does your doctor say? wendyloish
