Finance and Operations Manager

    Part-time: 30 hours per week)

    Salary: SCP 35-38 - £46,142 - £49,282 pro rata (30 hours per week)

    Location: Northampton / hybrid (minimum 3 days in office including a protected Thursday)

    Contract: Permanent

    At the Psoriasis Association, we support people living with psoriasis, improve standards of care, fund innovative research, and raise awareness. Following a refresh of our 2025-2030 strategy, we are reinforcing our commitment to these goals.   

    We are seeking an experienced Finance and Operations Manager to join our small, dedicated  team.  In this role, you will help strengthen the charity’s financial resilience, operations, and governance, ensuring we can continue to fund research, support those affected by psoriasis, and promote better care.    

    What you’ll do

  • Manage all financial operations: day-to-day finance, reconciliations, management accounts, budgeting and cashflow.
  • Prepare and coordinate year-end statutory accounts in line with Charity SORP and  coordinate external audits.
  • Oversee office administration, IT, facilities, HR records, supplier relationships and general systems. 
  • Maintain and manage our membership database, ensuring data integrity and GDPR compliance.
  • Support governance: prepare reports and Board / Committee papers, liaise with Trustees, investment managers and external partners.
  • Contribute to organisational planning and systems improvement, helping to shape how the charity delivers on its strategic priorities of research, care and support.
    • Who we’re looking for:

      You will be organised, proactive and comfortable working confidently in a small team.  You will have:

    • Full or part-qualified accountancy credentials (or equivalent experience).
    • Strong experience in charity or not-for-profit finance – including management accounts, budgeting, restricted funds and SORP compliance.
    • Skilled in operational and administrative oversight, with a hands-on approach.
    • Excellent communication skills – able to present financial and operational information clearly to non-specialists.
