Scalp psoriasis?

Hi All
I’m sorry for repeating what I know has been asked a lot here - but I have historically been ‘diagnosed’ with scalp psoriasis but it’s so much worse recently without any let up and I’m reluctant to go back to the steroid treatment from years ago!
My questions are:
1. How do you tell if it’s definitely psoriasis and not something new? It feels so much itchier than it did!
2. Any shampoo / conditioner recommendations?

A small spray bottle with a mixture of cold water and virgin olive oil (ratio of about 10-1). Best applied overnight, spray generously onto scalp.put a towel on your pillow.
It won’t cure the psoriasis ( what will?), but will definitely soothe the itchiness and it doesn’t contain any “nasty” chemicals. Can’t harm and worth a try.
(The bottle will need a good shake to mix the oil and water)
Also best to avoid harsh shampoos when washing out the oil, which will only make the condition worse and dry the scalp out.
