Possible arthritis yet skin plaques cleared?

I have been to the rheumatologist recently, he said he thinks I could be developing psoriatic arthritis, have had psoriasis for over 20 years and suffered with joint pain on and off since my teens, recently had swelling of the fingers so was referred to rheumatologist just wondered if anyone else had experienced a complete clear up of skin plaques then onset of joint swelling I can't seem to find much info as they seem to go hand in hand? Thankyou
