Hi everyone , I’ve had psoriasis for 51 years, I was 12 when it first flared up on my scalp, I’ve been had many different treatments , hospitalised 3 times , wrapped in bandages like a mummy , ultra violet light , puva, alternative medicines . puva cleated it completely but only for a couple of months . Now at the ripe age of nearly 63 i accept it , I use E45 liquid soap, moisturiser and shampoo , I do use sun beds but only when I have a flare up . Because it is now widely known and out there I don’t cover up anymore , if I want to wear short sleeves , shorts, I do , I used to tuck everything in to avoid leaving flakes everywhere. This attitude has helped tremendously, if any one has a problem with it ... then I’m afraid it’s there problem not mine ... it’s taken a long time to get to this take it or leave it attitude , but if you can I truly recommend it ... there is a great Facebook page a young lady has set up called ‘get your skin out’ she is an inspiration to us all . Good luck everyone , stay positive xxx ❤️
