Eumavate safe?

I have psoriasis in my groin area and have been using hydrocortisone but the doc said I shouldn't use it for too long and told me to get some Eumovate. I bought some but it says it is not to be used for psoriasis or on delicate areas. Has anyone used it for genital psoriasis? I phoned the docs office and the receptionist asked him if it was OK and he said it was so why does it say don't use it?! Very confusing.
