Scalp psoriasis

Hi everyone, I need help as my scalp psoriasis is getting me down so much, it's much worse than it's ever been. And I've had it all my life and I'm 54 now. I've tried every shampoo, emollient, liquid and even bought shampoo online and nothing has worked. Had anyone any ideas of a shampoo that actually works. I saw on google tablets that people have had when nothing else has worked but my GP cant give them to me , it has to be a specialist, I cant even get to a dermatologist as they are not local and I dont have transport to get there, any advice would be appreciated very much. I'm in despair right now and am getting so stressed out over this discomfort

Try enslier foam, you have to get it from the doctor you cannot buy it. I had very bad scalp psoriasis I tried every shampoo possible nothing worked until I started using enslier foam on my scalp it has cleared up but it comes back unless you use it very week and also you might want to cut your hair short so the foam is easier to use and it help you scalp as well to have short hair.

I'm 58 and have also tried many, many shampoos. The only one that helped ease my entire scalp psoriasis is an antimicrobial one called Hermz H+P. Reduced skin shedding by up to 50% and reduced the itching considerably. About £15 for a 300ml bottle. I was given a few medications by GP but none worked and some made it worse. They told me there is no psoriasis shampoo they can prescribe (which seems odd) and they're expensive! I'd like to try a different one by same brand, Healpsorin - have you tried that one?

Angry - I've looked up Enslier foam you recommended but nothing comes up. An Enstilar foam came up, is it that one? I was prescribed a scalp steroid lotion last month called Diprosalic, but it hasn't helped at all :-(

my consultant gave me Etrivex - which you can get from the GP - and I use that about once every 2 weeks, I also use Dercos anti dandruff shampoo (the green one) and Body shop ginger shampoo - both recommended by people on this site and available online- between those three it keeps it pretty manageable.- oh! and I eat blueberries.

lizzie, I've not heard of either of those, will look them up, thanks. I eat 150g blueberries almost every day. Are they supposed to help psoriasis?

someone on here said they had cleared their psoriasis by it - I'm not sure I actually saw any difference, but I still keep eating them!

Nah, my awful scalp psoriasis started just after I started eating so many blueberries! May help some people but not me
