Forgive me if this has been discussed but I cannot find anything on it. I am buying a new mattress and want to keep it from being covered in emollient/moisturiser, how do people do this? Do I buy a rubber sheet for underneath where I sleep?

Hi A simple mattress protector should suffice. Doesn’t need to be rubber, although some are. You might also need to ensure your sheets get a hot wash every so often to avoid any build up that can be a fire risk (eg for smokers). Not very eco friendly, given the modern predilection for cool washing, but necessary!

Thanks Noel, non smoker thankfully, but thanks for the advice.

ikea do some great mattress protectors - thin and easy to wash.
