Update
I had a GP appointment this morning and have been prescribed Nizoral which is Ketoconazole so hope it works although it is for dandruff and fungal infection. Also mometasone. The doctor told me to stop puttung any oils on my scalp. I have stopped putting any products or medication on my scalp for a few days and my hair has stopped falling out. I have also taken a few days off to regroup.
Best wishes to everyone
It sure if anyone had suggested this, but I’ve always found Mometasone scalp Solution amazing. Apply at night, and wash hair as normal the next day. Might not be effective for everyone, but I’ve always found it super effective and calms it down pretty quickly

Scalp psoriasis: only thing I ever found useful is coconut oil and a flea comb. Make sure the metal teeth aren’t sharp enough to hurt your scalp. Leave oil in for at least 4 hours. When softened the plaques will come off with the comb quite well. It also removes the strand of hair to which it is attached. Have paper towel to wipe comb on. It works so amazingly well. Real relief after u shampoo it. Lasts for quite a few weeks,

Thank you for your helpful reply, I have tried this before but will certainly have a go again. Currently, the dandruff flakes cover my shoulders as soon as my hair is dried after washing. I have taken to wearing a neck scarf to cover the debris. My bathroom cabinet looks like a branch of Boots, I have bought so many bottles of "remedies" !!

I had scalp psoriasis for over 30 years. I finally found a shampoo that helped keep it at bay, the itching was reduced as well as the scaling. I used Alfaparaf for dandruff and oily scalps. I have since started methotrexate for Psoriatic Arthritis and it has completely cleared up but with unfavourable side effects unfortunately. It's so good though not to have the psoriasis on my scalp anymore.

Hi Lazydays. I'll look out for the shampoo since nothing so far has helped me . Currently on Dovabet ointment and Capasal shampoo . MY consultant dermatologist hinted that she may put me on immuno-suppressant injections but I also have emphysema and am concerned that my immune system may be compromised. My bathroom cabinet is already looking like a branch of Boots the Chemist, but I will try the Alfaparaf.
Keep well x

Thank you Louisa C. I was the same, I had so many different shampoos and conditioners in my bathroom cabinet! I also had to think about what I wore when I had a bad flare up, dark colours were always out.
Best of luck!
