Wow, glad I found this. Had psoriasis in small areas for years. It went massively crazy and ended up in hospital for a week. Now my body is feeling burnt everywhere. It's getting worse to. Any help

You must speak to the GP about another hospital referral if it feels and looks like a burn over a large part of your skin it’s potentially Erythrodermic Psoriasis and that can be very deadly take care and insist on an urgent meet with a dermatologist not a go. I know about this as I’m only two weeks out of a month long hospital stay with Erythrodermic, my heart goes with you

Hello 👋, I’m new to this group. I suffer from Guttate Psoriasis. In 2005 I was in Fiji and became sick with every gland in my body swollen and aching. Glands I didn’t know I had. I could barely swallow my throat was soo sore. I had no medication to help with any of the symptoms. I thought I had a really bad flu or something. The only thing I could drink were cocktails without anything but alcohol with juice. I was unable to eat anything because my throat was so sore and I was soo sick. I had no idea what was going on. I have no memory of the flight home from Fiji. I remember trying to stand at the airport but no memory of getting on the plane. After arriving home I slept continuously until tiny itchy red spots began appearing all over my body. I was too sick to sit to see my GP. I ended up in emergency as by then my entire body was itchy so badly. I was still unable to eat or swallow with all my glands going mad. I was diagnosed with Guttate Psoriasis resulting from a severe strep throat infection which is a trigger for Guttate Psoriasis. After the diagnosis they told me I was unable to go home due to the infection and my skin condition had worsened and continued to worsen. I was bright red and my skin was soo sore, itchy everywhere except my face and in my underwear. Thank god for small mercies! Everyday 3 times a day I was covered in Daivobet then a thick paraben type cream then a space was placed on the bed then a wet towel on top of it which I laid on….. then a wet towel over me followed by a space blanket. 3 times a day. I was in hospital for 3 weeks the first time and another 3 weeks shortly after as it worsened.. All the while they were struggling to get the strep levels in my body down… they kept telling me they couldn’t say how much my skin would improve or if it would. I was also having Photo Therapy every day.
Now my legs, back, elbows and small bits in other areas.
I currently use Enstillar foam to calm it down but have never been clear of it since my nightmare began in 2005. I am considering buying a hand held UVB light to see if it helps. From everything I have read it is the only thing that helps with Guttate psoriasis.
Sorry about the long winded story however it was a journey I will never forget. I can’t go swimming or have any physio for chronic pain I also suffer from due to a degenerative disc disease in my spine for which I have had 6 major back operations and countless procedures to help with nerve damage, arthritis, scar tissue and further damage.
I wouldn’t expect anyone to want to touch me with the horrible psoriasis all over my back, neck, all over my legs.
This is my story
