Hi, im 21 years old and have been diagnosed for the last 2 years with guttate psoriasis. I have flare ups like I imagine everyone does, but I just can't seem to shake it. It only gets worse with time. When I was first diagnosed I was prescribed with enstiller foam, which nearly cleared me to 100%. However any time I stopped it came back 2x worse. I have now been referred to try immunosuppressants. I just feel lost, my confidence has never been lower and im quite frankly miserable.
I am wondering if anyone has any advice at trying to find triggers or just some general help/ experiences with other treatments. Just to hear anyone else who have had similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi I'm so sorry to read this. My 10 year old was diagnosed with this in January at first I thought it was a reaction to something but it just got worse he was covered head to toe. Same as you he was prescribed that along with other stuff and agree it works but no sooner you stop it's back. He has just recently had another flare up bit we cannot work out what's caused it. We're putting it down to hormones. He is currently having light therapy which is still early days but I just know when it stops it will be back. We've started keeping a diary now to see. I've started giving him axsis biotics to see if that helps as they keep saying about the gut. They suggest methotrexate but not keen on that for a q0 year old. Also I've been reading forums about vitamin c and vitamin d3 k2 we by one from a place called mighty kids (for adults too) and it's supposed to be very good.
You've got this don't let it get you down as hard as it is

so sorry to hear you story.
I had plaque psoriasis and got guttate psoriasis from light therapy treatment.
I was given immunosuppressants which totally cleared the guttate psoriasis within two weeks.
I decided to stop after 9 months as it hadn't helped my plaque psoriasis. that was a mistake as the guttate psoriasis has come back but worse.
I am waiting to see the consultant to go back on again.
I also use Enstilar but it doesn't hold it off like the immunosuppressants do. So I would recommend trying. They will monitor you closely.
Good luck x
