'Right Treatment: Right Time' Guest Speaker Announcement 2025
With a month to go until our 'Right Treatment: Right Time' conference, we're pleased to bring you the next three guests in our speaker series, Dr John Lee, Dr Andrew Pink, Professor Catherine Smith, and share an insight into their work.

The conference will take place on Saturday 28th June at the County Hall in London, Belvedere Road (SE1 7PB) between 1oam - 4pm.

Dr John Lee

Talk title: What we’ve learnt about psoriasis triggers from Psoriasis Citizen Scientists (hot research topic 2)
Dr John Lee is an academic Dermatology Registrar based at the St John's Institute of Dermatology, King's College London and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
His research interests lie in improving our understanding of disease mechanisms in inflammatory skin disorders, and he has also been involved in projects using the mySkin platform to explore how environmental factors affect psoriasis.

Andrew Pink

Talk title: What’s new in psoriasis treatment?
Dr Andrew Pink is a consultant dermatologist and the director of the adult Clinical Trials Unit at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London and the deputy director of the NIHR Commercial Research Delivery Centre at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at King’s College London, ex-Honorary Secretary of the St John’s Dermatological Society, a member of the International Psoriasis Council, Chair of the Annual UK Dermatology Course for Consultants and regularly acts as a NICE clinical expert. His clinical and academic interests focus on inflammatory skin disease and translational medicine, primarily in eczema and psoriasis.
Dr Pink has helped to develop a national multi-disciplinary eczema service and a very active trials unit at St. John’s.
He has acted as CI on multiple trials examining novel therapies emerging in psoriasis, eczema and nodular prurigo and is Chief Investigator for the BEACON trial, the first global multi-arm multi-stage platform trial in atopic eczema.
Professor Catherine Smith

Talk title: Psoriasis research - progress and future directions
Professor Catherine Smith is Professor of Dermatology and Therapeutics and Consultant Dermatologist at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Kings College London and Guys and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and NIHR Senior Investigator.
She leads national specialised services for adults with severe psoriasis.
Her clinical and research interests aim to bring data-driven, proactive, inclusive precision medicine strategies to achieve disease remission for people with psoriasis.
