Positive experiences with Methotrexate?

Hi everyone, I have been suffering with my first PSA flare on my knees and wrist. I’ve been on PREDNISOLONE for three weeks and the doses become less each week. My body is stiff in morning, which improves later. I still feel like i’m twice age and i wonder if the drug will make me more mobile. My Rheumatologist has suggested to start Methotrexate next month. So far i have heard people having difficulty, which is understandable as everyone is different dealing with medication and they are more likely to be vocal about it. I was just wondering if there are any positive experiences? (Please direct me to post if someone else has already asked the same question) Thanks

Methotrexate is the standard medicine for PsA since decades. It surely works. But it doesn't work for everyone and it comes with different side effects that vary from patient to patient. Hope that helps.

I’ve been on Methotrexate for a while, and it’s helped with my stiffness, though it took a few weeks to notice a difference. Everyone reacts some people do great on it, others not so much, but for me, it’s been okay overall. Hope it goes well for you and brings some relief.
