Irascible septuagenarian fed up with the psoriasis constantly at me

At 13 and with the usual raging hormones, hopefully her doc will try non steroid treatments first (steroids are hormones in a tube) or better still refer her to a dermatologist before prescribing anything. Young skin need special attention, hence my opinion for a referral to a specialist.

My wife is suffering from psoriasis and i joined this forum to share and learn from everyone

Please avoid steroids, they are quick fixes. But it has shown to be very aggressive when the flares come back. Please see derm doc as soon as possible. Psoriasis has no cure , but with lots of focus it can be controlled. Some people get flares after eating specific types of food . Ask her to monitor when the skin flares up and make sure she feels comfortable to share her feelings with you . It can be very depressing and she will need lots of attention and care.

i just got this back from my daughter in law: I don't know the particular name of the psoriasis but it starts when she gets a sore throat so she got a sore throat last xmas and she hasn't got rid of the psoriasis since. she did get it before and it went but this time it has decided to stay
