Keeping emollient cream in the fridge Does it help?

When looking at emollients recently several health professionals and patients advised to keep these in the fridge. I currently use Epaderm and I have found it to be very effective for itchy skin when stored in the fridge. I apply it and then after about half an hour or so I find the itching subsidies .

It's helped me. I started to keep mine in the fridge a couple of months ago, and it feels more soothing when I apply it to my skin.
