Diabetes and Psoriasis

I have had psoriasis on my feet for years. and had every steroid cream etc going, But recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and my psoriasis has got much worse spread all over my feet and toes and finger tips. Im on Metformin for diabetes. Does anyone know if the tablets or the Diabetes does affect it.
