Amgevita

Ive had psoriasis for over 30 years.

Is anyone currently on Amgevita? I've changed from Humira to Amgevita but I'm not convinced it's working as well. Anyone else had any experience in this?

Hi there, I’m on week 5 of this but wasn’t on Humira prior. I’ve had no side effects and my arms have completely cleared, legs getting there. I can definitely see improvement.

Thanks for your reply Moshdi. I'm now on about week 8 or 9 and although it is working I don't think it is as effective as the original Humira. There are areas that are not as clear as they were previously and normally if I've just taken a jab then I would see an improvement in areas that have relapsed but I'm not seeing this. I'm glad it's working for you though.

Ive had psoriasis for over 30 years.

So I'm now about 1.5 yr into Humira/Amgevita. My skin is the clearest it has ever been and I dont even feel like I have psoriasis any more. The small areas that I have now im not even aware of tbh. I don't have any side effects that I'm aware of and my bloods are looking good. I've never been happier ☺. I know this is not the result everyone has but I hope that it can bring hope to someone.

Hi I'm on week 7. Move from methotrexate to Amgevita. I don't think it's working. I'm still getting breakouts on my legs and head. The only good thing it my nails are nearly back to normal. Seeing consultant next month. Will see what he says.

Aug 2018 diagnosed PSa predominantly in my feet, v.mild scalp psoriasis. tried Methotrexate with no luck switched to Metaject which worked but made me immensely fatigued, nauseas and made my hair fall out but cleared up psoriasis. switched to Sulphasalazine and PSa has got worse feel like i am living in a constant flare. Now have more disfigurement in toes and hands and unable to weight bare on my left foot due to inflammation and pain. Rheumatologist has asked me to read up on Amigivita and Beneparli and make a choice which to try next ... both Bio-similars .... can anyone offer me some insipration? only I feer the worst and am reluctant to try either from what I have read so far. Thanks in advance :-)

Reading your posts ... I’m just about to start Amgevita, specialist nurse visiting Tuesday for first dose then I’m on my own, feel ok about the injections to be honest but just hoping it works. Previously on a methotrexate programme but was showing high blood readings (ALT) so taken off it immediately and more psoriasis then I’ve ever had as a result. Literally covered. So nice being in contact with like minded sufferers and great to read positive results with Amgevita in the main

Some studies suggest adalimumab (e.g. Amgevita / Humira) has a 45% chance of achieving 90% psoriasis clearance (PASI 90). In other words, it is roughly 50-50 whether the redness and flakes will completely go away.
