Cyclosporin dosage

Hi, not sure if anyone can help, my husband has just been prescribed cyclosporin 150mg twice a day. Does anyone know if this is an average dose . I'm maybe comparing to methotrexate where the dose is very different, just a bit concerned that it's a lot. Also anyone's experience of it would be helpful as the few people I know that have tried it had to stop due to it affecting their health. Many thanks🙂
