Hi, has anyone tried the Dupixent (Dupilumab) treatment at all. It is a biologic treatment that you inject yourself (like an epi-pen) every 2 weeks. I just wondered how good it was before I ask my consultant in a few months time, & can it be used long term, as I have read about it & it sounds amazing. Thank you!
A quick look at the dupilumab page on Wikipedia today makes absolutely zero mention of psoriasis. It blocks IL-4 and IL-13 signals, neither of which is used currently for psoriasis.
The most effective biologics for psoriasis, right now, appear to be risankizumab, guselkumab and ixekizumab.

Thank you everyone for the info, interesting & very helpful!
Etanercept has very low efficacy. Studies suggest just a 20% chance of getting 90% clearance (PASI 90).
Risankizumab, guselkumab and ixekizumab have around 70-75% chance of PASI 90.

Before starting, I had to fill out the Dupixent enrollment form https://startforms.health/dupixent-enrollment-form/ , which my dermatologist gave me. That helps with getting coverage and support programs if needed. It’s definitely worth discussing with your consultant when the time comes. For me, it’s been life-changing and I’d 100% recommend looking into it if you're eligible.
