Sulfasalazine

Hi, I have has psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis for 15 years now. I have just started sulfasalazine 2 days ago. After the 1 St day I have suddenly come down with a sore throat and blocked nose and online it states to contact gp straight away if this is the case. Does anyone know if taking 1 tablet can have this side effect so soon or could it just be coincidence? Thanks

Hi cazza, Did you not get a helpline number from the hospital for a rheumatology nurse, should you have any problems with your medication, you can usually telephone them for advice. Regards James
