Antibiotics and uvb therapy

Hi I recently bought my own uvb unit to treat myself at home and in the information leaflet it says to not use the machine if on antibiotics. Well I currently have an infection in my wisdom tooth gum which the dentist has given me a prescription for amoxicillin. I cannot find any information About this online as to whether I can carry on with my treatment?

A P sufferer for over 30 years, through good and bad times.

I think your answer is in the information leaflet. Good luck.

Yeah I understood that part but it is only means antibiotics that react to sun exposure so my question is does amoxicillin react to sun exposure? I really don’t want to have to stop my treatment for 7-10 days while I’m on antibiotics

You could always risk it and continue or contact your GP or dermatologist for advice.

A pharmacist should be able to answer as they're easier to get to speak to

I am on antibiotics and use uvb sunbeds to help clear my psoriasis . If you do a quick Google search online on the specific antibiotic to see if it makes you sensitive to sunlight . You should be able to find that information on there . Hope this helps x
