Something finally worked!!!

So my partner has suffered with psoriasis for 2 years since being involved in a serious car crash. It progressively got worse until he was covered and his worst area was the scalp. Which for someone who likes short hair really got him down. It became my mission to find something and after 4 appt's with dermatologists who kept on prescribing the same things I finally lost my temper and told them what I wanted them to prescribe him and I told them how I was going to apply it for him as a lot of it he can't reach. After 2 years with horrendous psoriasis this method that we started 2 weeks ago has nearly cleared all of it. For the scalp - diprosalic lotion - dovebet gel - cocois ointment These are alternated everyday and applied at night time. All of these products have previously been used alone And there was little improvement after 2 days and after 2 weeks it was back to square one. In my opinion alternating them was a good option as it doesn't give your skin time to get used to them and then stop working. For the body - Diprosalic ointment - dovebet ointment Again these are alternated on a daily basis. So diprosalic is used on a Monday and dovebet on a Tuesday and so on. I have bought every type of medicine or alternative treatment and nothing has ever worked. The only medical treatment my other half has not tried is light therapy and he is booked in for that on the 21st of this month. However all being well he may not have to have it. I thought I would share this success story with all psoriasis sufferers as although I do not have it, I understand it is very debilitating mentally as I have witnessed my partner so low due to his skin condition. I have trawled this forum for answers and have tried many treatments suggested for my fella. I think you just have to keep trying different things and hope for the best. I really hope this helps ( doctors/dermotologists do not always like prescribing this many medications) be firm with them!!! Also is defo worth getting an nhs prescription card if you have to pay. For £29 for 3 months we have saved Thousands in the lasts 2 years by doing this. One set of the treatments listed above last around 5 days. So approximately 3 months of the treatments cost around £750.00 so the £29 3 month prescription card is definitely worth it. If you have any questions please feel free to ask although i am not a sufferer I now feel like a specialist because my other half does not have patience with health professional so I always have to be present and speak on his behalf other wise he gets mad with been told the same thing over and over again!!

I have had psoriasis covering most of my body for more than 50 years. There are very many combinations of topicals that work for some people but not for others. Furthermore, many of us have found something that works initially and then one day it doesn't so it's back to the drawing board for new combinations. There are hundreds of different creams, treatments, drugs and therapies available for psoriasis sufferers and, whilst I am happy that you have found something that is working for your partner, (and sincerely hope that it continues to do so) the claim that you are now a specialist after two years and 3 topicals is pretty insulting.to long term sufferers. Psoriasis is debilitating physically and emotionally and is a horrible disease to live with and sadly many people won't be cured or even in control of their skin as easily. I hope your story can help others, it's always good to share information, but please try not to sound like you are the only person to have tried this and the rest of us just have no idea what we are doing.

First of all I think you are very rude! I did not say I was a specialist I said I felt like one, because of mine and my partners experiences. Secondly these are not the only treatments my partner has tried he has tried lots, some of which had made his skin worse! Thirdly I would point out that you are not the only person who is suffering with psoriasis on this forum and that hundreds of people on here are. Some have lived with the condition for many years and others are newly diagnosed. Whatever the situation it is important to share any success stories and treatment regimes that have worked to give people different ideas and HOPE. I have taken the time out of my busy schedule as a mother, business owner and worker of 4 other jobs to help give people hope. I did Not do it to listen to you be negative and misinterpret what I say. If you do not have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all!!!

CHANGE YOUR WATER - CHANGE YOUR LIFE This may help with your condition naturally. Alkaline water is water that's less acidic than regular tap water. This means it is rich in alkalizing compounds, including calcium, silica, potassium, magnesium, and bicarbonate. Please see the link below which will give you more information. https://youtu.be/mZghD0kngDo?list=PLftIzwRTY2ew67A9Fxg4kxapOBTyC2A9A I CAN PROVIDE FREE KANGEN WATER IF LOCAL OR DIRECT YOU TO SOMEONE NEAR YOU TO GET FREE WATER. I have been a sufferer since 2001. quickly rose from mild to medium to severe.

I have been a sufferer since 2001. I had never heard of it before or seen it ever so for months i struggled with hiding it, and sometimes would vial myself like a Muslim to go shopping. My doctors prescribed several creams, one of which was diaprosalic. I do not agree totally with Nicandroo because I found that these creams have steroids and while they give you a sense of hope for a few months (for me it was years), they are actually damaging your cells and making it so much worse on the long run. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. they not only give you a false hope but damage your cells and skin almost on a permanent basis whole "helping" you out. I read some of this treatment on twitter page for people with psoriasis and decided to go natural and for the last 2 weeks, have used olive oil in my lukewarm water to bath, pat (not rub) my skin while drying up, skipped using body cream and rub my skin all over with Vaseline petroleum jelly (very cheap too) with focus on the affected areas, wait 5 minutes, then apply and gently message olive oil all over, with focus on the affected part. Wait for several minutes to dry, then dress up. The most important thing is to keep the skin, especially the affected area, moist (and pampered) and avoid direct contact with harsh liquids like perfumes. Every few hours i message olive oil on the affected parts. 2 weeks ago, it was all over my neck, my left breast, stomach, sides, butts, elbows, legs, and back and severe. 2 weeks later, it is almost all gone and almost not noticeable. the scars are almost gone too and my skin is almost blending the the right color. One thing is for sure: I CANNOT wait to go swimming again after 4 years. Hope this helps, coz it sure helped me.

@respect, forgive me if i passed a wrong message. I was explaining and trying to describe the extent of psoriasis on my face that i had to be veiled up, covering my head, scalp, and most of my face to my nose/ eye level. And i wold do this just to go literary around the corner, by the fence of my house. That was the best description I could come up with for anyone to get a clear picture of the extent on my fce, AND the rest of my body. As a Christian, most people around me got confused and assumed i had changed my faith. It was hard explaining to one person or the other that i was still a Christian and my faith has not changed because you can't really talk to everyone or put a sign on your head. So people automatically assumed i had changed my faith. That was the extent of the psoriasis that made me cover up so much. I hope i have removed any question in your mind to suggest i was being rude or otherwise, as I have a lot of Muslims friends and do not believe anyone should be criticized for their choice of faith.

sorry to say I don't think there will ever be a cure as this is caused by are own immune systems going into overdrive there may be some products out there what can relieve and moisten the skin to improve its appearance but cure no but a very important message to all sufferers Psoriasis can be more than skin deep..

Daryl, I don't know whether you are a Dr, but in anycase the earth was thought to be flat up unit very recently and the advance in medicine gives us hope for everything. Don't sell it yourself that there will never be a cure, what is your analysis based on? You are right on one thing, the problem is inner and not something that's just happening on your outer body. Our body is made up of 70% water and if we understand that first and drink water with the right PH level, our blood cells will be able to absorb the small molecule clusters better and in turn improve our immune system. Watch your acidic level from food and water and treat our inner body well without using it as a waste bin and then we will see results on the outside. I hope this message will help you. email me if you wish to johnsonsamuel1965@gmail.com
