Had a bad flare up, over 80% coverage. Tried several steroid ointments. Dermovate worked but as soon as I went onto a less potent steroid, it was back.
Dermatologist has now prescribed enstilar and ciclosporin. 5 days in the enstilar is working a treat. Do I neen the ciclosporin if enstilar is working. I have had vaccinations and am waiting 2 weeks to build up antibodies before starting ciclosporin but don't want to start if its not necessary.

I have recently started Enstilar and the results sre great - virtually cleared up all areas. No just applying once a week.

Mine is daily for 4 weeks then twice a week for 4 weeks. I feel it is working great and so unsure if ciclosporin is necessary as well.

You may find that it clears up in less than 4 weeks. From memory, I think mine was pretty clear after 2 weeks of daily application, so I reduced the frequency of application to just once a week thereafter.
Not sure about the use of ciclosporin, but I suggest that if it clears up quickly on just the Enstilar then go back to your GP and seek further advice.

I never saw a GP. It was the advanced nurse practitioner who made the referral to Dermatology. The doctor there doesn't see me for review until 22 July

I was prescribed Enstilar. Worked really well and quickly on inverse psoriasis but took much longer for scalp to improve. Currently using twice a week but not sure if the psoriasis has gone. Still very itchy and the back of my head is sore from repeated applications. Wonder whether repeated applications have made by scalp very, very dry and sensitive. Not quite sure what to do next.
Posted Thu 5 Jun 2025 00.06 by Sezzer23 Hi I've suffered with bad psoriasis and psoriasis arthritis now almost 10 yrs now, and it's so soul destroying and I've hate my skin...
Hi there,
I saw the lead nurse at my dermatology appointment only on the 27th May 25, and she has given me the Enstilar spray foam, and a ointment to try while I'm on rhe waiting list for phototherapy. Well within 3 days of using the Enstilar I saw a difference, by day 7 I've seen a huge difference, so much so I haven't had to use the ointment yet, (I lie, I used it day 1, and struggling to deal with that, as it's so thick and greasy, even with hot soapy water I can't get it off my hands, so just sticking with the Enstilar for now). Really pleased with the results, in 10 years I now can look in the mirror and not feel ashamed of my skin. Don't get me wrong it's not gone, far from it, but I'm seeing results.

Thats great news Sezzer23 im really pleased for you. I know exactly how you feel. Im no longer having to wear long sleeve tops to cover my elbows, or tracksuit bottoms to cover my knees which is so refreshing. Im also sleeping so much better as the psoriasis on my right hip has cleared up so its no longer painful to lie on that side. Im hoping my skin doesn't get used to the wonder spray any time soon and it continues to be affective!
I am also seeing a big difference day by day so I think I will avoid the immunosuppresants for now. I have only been using it for 8 days so far and I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel.

Hey Walshie1387 & Shona
That's is brilliant news about your you both too. This wonder spray foam..is unreal, i waited years over 10 years for a breakthrough with my skin. Like you say Walshie1387 I just hope my skin doesn't get used to it and it then doesn't work. Today (07/08/25) is my 9th day on it and I would say It has cleared up the flakes by 90% still have the red patches, which cover 25% of my body, mainly my whole spine, which is why the spray is great for, as living alone trying to cream my back when I'm already disabled is no easy task..and I've try all sorts of ways. But the wonder spray is brilliant..im starting to wear different clothes too, and like you Shona I too can see the light at the end of the tunnel too. It's so nice to be able to discuss this with people who feel the same and are in the same boat at me, who I can talk freely too and we understand how one another feel.
I'm.so chuffed for you both that you too are seeing the brilliant results too.
Have a great weekend
