I had to share my positive experience having had a horrible case of psoriasis.
I have no agenda but simply wanted to share and spread my experience and hope that it will work for you.
I developed this condition following a very stressful situation. I am a woman of colour and in a very high pressured job. I was not eating well or shall I say eating the wrong foods and that including the stress I was under manifested itself firstly under my armpits, between by breast and then into my scalp, It even got inside my ears.
I had beautiful locks which started to fall out. I had red inflamed itchy plaques virtually everywhere on my torso, thighs and face.
I lost confidence and I can truly say that it was a very isolating period for me. I was truly depressed.
I consulted a dermatologist and was prescribed a cocktail of steroids creams, you name it.. Of course I used some, anything to stop the itching but I always felt uneasy at the volume of steroids I was being prescribed along with side effects and consulted my GP.
I found that these provided temporary relief but did not deal with the root cause. I took myself off on holiday for some much needed sun and vitamin D and left my supportive husband and kids to it. I was desperate and decided to do my own research as to the root cause of this auto immune condition.
I bought 2 life saving books "Healing Psoriasis" by John Pagano and Hannah Sillitoe "Radiant". Psoriasis is the skins way of telling you that your gut is too acidic. I promise you I read both books cover to cover, adjusted my diet and I completely healed myself in 5 months, I no longer have a single plaque on my skin and not even a flare up. There are certain foods which are inflammatory to the gut and make the condition worse. I took proper probiotics ( please do your research on this), What are relatively innocuous foods/beverages can aggravate the condition as they are nightshade foods and are inflammatory. Tomato, white potato, aubergine, paprika, bell peppers, beef, alcohol, nicotine. Once my gut was more alkaline and had the right microbiomes, I have been psoriasis free. I also lost weight which was much needed. Also vitamin D and sun and a stress free life did the trick. I am no medic but this worked for me and I hope works for you. Good luck on your psoriasis free journey because you will get there. Those books will change your life and I would love to hear from any one that this works for.
