I was put on Enstilar by the Dermatologist at KGH and applied it at the intervals required. After the initial month (daily) it was applied twice a week. However, it ceased to have an effect. Accordingly I went to my GP who prescribed Dovobet ointment. This is to be be applied daily. Both treatments are manufactured by the same company and are calciptriol / betamethasone, with the same level of active ingredient (50 micrograms). Enstilar is a foam, whereas Dovobet is an ointment. I used to have it before the KGH dermatologist changed me over to Enstilar. Accordingly I am now confused. I will give it a whirl but the GP seems to have increased the dosage of the active ingredient considerably, so I am now going to be absorbing more steroids. Has anyone else had experience of this apparent change of the same product?
