Coming through winter thinking I’d got away with full coverage and then my whole body itching all over knowing a full blown flare up is coming out 😢 Anyone got suggestions that actually repress the desperate urge to scratch all my skin off?

You could try an antihistamine such as Piriton - speak to a pharmacist about options. (it did not work for me though, but simple and chep to try it).
When I was covered in Guttate psoriasis, I used Doublebase Gel and DoubleBase Dayleve Gel, they diod help to suppress the itching, just apply as often as you need - they are steroid-free.
Just before going to bed I took a bath in lukewarm water with "Oilatum Plus" added, that seemed to sooth my back, which I could not reach to apply Doublebase.
