My experience with a UVB lamp + Psoriva oil and tablets
Posted Wed 13 May 2026 13.20 by Emma
Hi everyone 🙂
I’ve been using a UVB lamp together with Psoriva oil and Psoriva tablets for some time now, and I’m slowly starting to see improvement 🙏
The Psoriva oil really helps with dry areas, my skin itches less, and I get fewer flaky patches. And I feel like the tablets help support the treatment from the inside as well 🙂
Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Hello Emma,
How is your progress?
Did GP/ Dermatologist prescribed you the tablets ?
Psoriva tablets is nothing but Acitretin (also referred to by its commercial name Neotigason), is one of a group of drugs known as retinoids, which are related to vitamin A.
You need to be careful with this as there could be some side effects: https://www.psoriasis-association.org.uk/acitretin
I am on UVB at the moment and plan on using acitretin to speed up improvement and to take it only for 2 month or so... as I have high cholesterol issue and dont want Acitretin do more harm than good.
Thanks

Hi! I have psoriasis too. 🙂 Can I ask how your treatment is going now? Are you still seeing improvements? I'm also thinking about getting a UVB lamp, so I'd love to hear if you'd still recommend it after using it for a while. Thanks!
