Helplines Awareness Day 2026 – Celebrating helplines across the UK
Today (23 February) is National Helplines Awareness Day, dedicated to recognising and celebrating the important work helplines do every single day.
Like many helplines across the UK that offer vital support to people and communities, we are incredibly proud of our own helpline, where we offer support and advice to those living with psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis.
There are now more ways than ever to access support from the Psoriasis Association – whether you need a listening ear on the phone, or would feel more comfortable sending a quick message on WhatsApp, here’s how you can get in touch with us:
Call - 01604 251 620
Email mail@psoriasis-association.org.uk
WhatsApp - 07387 716 439
Helpline hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm
Our helpline staff have in-depth knowledge of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, but they are not medically qualified, and this helpline is not intended to replace a consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. We are unable to provide a diagnosis, treatment prescription, or referral to a specialist. If your questions require medical advice, our helpline staff will advise you to contact a healthcare professional.
‘Developing in the Dark’ campaign and photography exhibition
Helplines are there for people experiencing uncertainty, distress or crisis, often at the moment they need support most, which is why we’re supporting Helplines Partnership’s ‘Developing in the Dark’ 2026 awareness campaign and photography exhibition.
Alongside the in-person exhibition viewing taking place in Liverpool on Wednesday, 25 February, Developing in the Dark will be available to view on the Helplines Partnership website, featuring photographs and stories from across the helpline sector.
Working in partnership with Rachel Brewster-Wright from Little Vintage Photography, the analogue portrait exhibition combines powerful images and real stories to show how helplines can offer understanding and connection at some of life’s most difficult moments. To book your tickets for the in-person viewing, you can visit the Helplines Partnership Eventbrite page.
