Question about inverse psoriasis

Hi, I've struggled with inverse psoriasis on my genitals for about 7 months after a stressful period in the winter. I've used both mild steroids and pimecrolimus (Elidel). Now the skin looks okay, but still feels sore and sensitive to touch. Is it just supposed to feel this way from now on? Right now I only use a balm moisturizer and a barrier cream to see if it's urine that can cause extra irritation. I tried this out today. The only times i don't feel any discomfort down there is when I shower and sleep nude. Maybe I don't use the medicines long enough, or maybe it is some steps that I'm missing? Can anybody relate,or have any tips deling with the tenderness? When I don't use anything on my genitals the skin gets extremely dry, flakes, peels, and gets more red. I've ordered manoil (penis creme), so it will be interesring how this works. Thanks for your replies in advance. Man, 36

Hi Chris87. I have been recently diagnosed with inverse psoriasis to my absolute surprise. I had some red broken skin under my breasts while on a holiday in France. Then flared up again last November after a flu episode. Then my skin became very itchy over my scrotum and groin. I visited a dermatologist who diagnosed scrotal dermatitis. It got better after a two week course of trimovate then i visited another dermatologist abroad to whom i have shown pictures from my breasts skin and my armpits who flared up red from time to time plus my scrotum. To my surpsise he diagnosed inverse psoriasis. All was going to plan with the use of some moisturisers etc but over the last two weeks it has flared up badly. Skin feels itchy and sensitive to anything to touch. Even the underwear is a nuisance. I have applied some steroid cream twice but no much improvement. I dont know what to do really. I was thinking to try some dovonex cream. I am very worried about how this will progress. My elbow also was itchy and i did the biggest mistake to scratch it for a couple of occasions and the skin remains scaly and thickened since. I applied prednisolone cream for one week and i got better but still very lumpy bumpy. I am very concerned about the itchyness over my scrotum area and the use of clothes that make it worse. Sitting on a chair pressing over my scrotum it exacerbate things. But i cannot lie flat all the time is impossible. Did you find anything else that helps?
