Nail Psoriasis- GP says no reliable treatment !

Hi everyone I was diagnosed with Psoriasis around two years ago, in my mid 6o's! This came out of the blue ( though my dad had it ) but followed three months of horrid health problems, I had cellulitis then an awful case of shingles that has left me with nerve damage in one leg, then along comes psoriasis. I was covered in it. It’s a really long story and I have lots of co mobilities too, some auto immune. Having bi lateral lower leg lymphedema that leaks causes many issues with my skin and it’s frustrating that no two departments will work together on treatment plans. That's a very very brief history. I was years ago, told my very discoloured, crumbling, pitted nails was probably due to medication of fungus, tests for fungus negative. Looking back as far as I can go on phone pics, 2017, it’s obvious there is thickening, pitting, some quite large, salmon colouring and white patches under the nails, all toes and fingers. I am beginning to think I have had Psoriasis for years but was diagnosed as eczema. The nail problem has now been diagnosed as nail psoriasis by my Dermi. My problem is is that although its been diagnosed my Dermi didn't mention it in her letter to my GP. Yesterday I reached out to my surgery online and attached pics of my finger nails, they are so sore, lifting in places. very deformed and pitted and feel strange like they don't feel like they are there, as if there is no feeling they belong to me but painful at the same time, just really strange. I asked the surgery if I should use one of my already prescribed very potent steroid creams on them as the Dermi had not said anything about treatment. The surgery has just phoned, the receptionist said "Doctor says there is no reliable treatment for nail psoriasis", I was a little lost for words and just said ok. So looks like no treatment for my nails at this point. I don't see my Dermi again until November, which going by all my recent. cancelled then re booked appointments to other departments, will end up being next year! I will be asking at my next appointment but in the mean time it looks like I am going loose some nails and my fingers are so painful. Oh and also I'm in pain with my back and other joints, hoping this isn't a sign of things to come. Any idea of what I can do in the meantime with my nails would be fab, I would be really grateful. Is there anything I can do so I don't loose my nails? or to help with the pain? Thank you everyone.
