The Psoriasis Association is the leading national charity working for people with psoriasis and all donations received help to sustain our work in supporting people affected by psoriasis, raising awareness of the condition and funding research projects.

We are reliant on donations to be able to continue with our work so, as you can imagine, the efforts of those who agree to raise funds on our behalf is very much appreciated.

We are truly amazed by people’s efforts and different ways they support us!

Whatever the event, we can provide you with promotional materials, sponsorship forms if required and a t-shirt or running vest. Every pound makes a difference and helps the Psoriasis Association support people with psoriasis, their families and carers.

Rhiannon - Walking 100 miles in 31 days

Rhiannon has shared her story of living with psoriasis with us previously, now she is taking on the challenge of walking 100 miles in 31 days to raise money for the Psoriasis Association.

She shares "For more than half of my life, I’ve lived with psoriasis. To many, it looks like “just a skin condition,” but the truth is far from simple. Psoriasis doesn’t just cover your skin it invades every part of your life.

It’s the hidden pain of cracked, bleeding skin that makes clothes unbearable, showers sting, and hugs feel like fire. It’s the emotional toll of carrying a condition that affects confidence, relationships, and even the way you see yourself.

But psoriasis doesn’t stop there. It often leads to bigger battles, like psoriatic arthritis, which can change your whole future. Spending years too embarrassed to show the doctor the spreading psoriasis invading every part of your body. Eventually getting the courage to show them after years and years of it spreading out of control.

The treatments I've tried over the last 7 years themselves can be as brutal as the condition: chemotherapy-based drugs, injections that have left damage to my lungs, and the endless side effects that make you feel ill when all you want is relief.

For seven years and counting, I spent every single week going to the hospital for more treatments. Blood tests every few weeks, x-rays, more tests checking to see what damage the medications were doing to the rest of my body. All of this just for the hope of pain-free skin, of feeling human again.

Now, I’ve set myself a challenge: to walk 100 miles in 31 days, with a torn ligament. Every step will hurt, but every step will represent the silent struggle so many of us face. I’m raising money for the Psoriasis Awareness Association, because awareness matters. Because no one should feel alone in this battle.

This challenge isn’t just about walking. It’s about showing the world what living with psoriasis really means the visible and the invisible, the skin and the soul, the scars inside and out."

Nina - Manchester Half Marathon

Nina will be running the Manchester Half Marathon to raise money for the Psoriasis Association.

She shares "Psoriasis is something I never truly understood until it became part of my life. What started as a stressful period and a seemingly simple sore throat ended up triggering something I’d never imagined: psoriasis. I had never heard of it in depth before, and when it hit me, I felt completely lost and confused.

I went from doctor to doctor, trying to understand what was happening to my body. Each visit left me with more questions than answers. Despite my efforts, I never really felt fully heard or understood by the healthcare professionals I turned to. To this day, I still live with psoriasis, and though I've learned to manage it better, the emotional and physical toll it takes is something I continue to navigate.

The hardest part for me has been the effect it’s had on my confidence. There were times when I felt so self-conscious about my skin that I wanted to lock myself away, too embarrassed to face the world. But through it all, my family and friends have been my rock especially my mum and dad. Their amazing support has been the one constant that has kept me going. I truly don’t think I would have made it through this challenging journey without them.

That's why I’m asking for your support today. The Psoriasis Association has been instrumental in raising awareness, providing resources, and supporting those like me who live with this condition every day. Every donation will go towards research, support, and education, helping others understand psoriasis better and improving the lives of those affected.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Your support means the world."

Chris - Basingstoke Half Marathon

This October, Chris is taking on the challenge of running the Basingstoke Half Marathon — not just for the miles, but for a meaningful cause close to his heart.

Chris said, "I’m raising funds for the Psoriasis Association , and every step I take is in support of those who need it most. Whether you donate £1 or £10, your support will help make a real difference. Please consider sponsoring me — together, we can turn effort into impact!

I know the impact Psoriasis can have on you as I have had it for over 13 years, every little really does help this wonderful charity."

Lily - Chester Marathon

"I’m Lily, and I’ve been living with psoriasis for a couple of years now. The more I talk about it, the more I realise how many others are affected, including people close to me.

On October 5th, I’m running the Chester Marathon to raise money for the Psoriasis Association. Running has never been my thing, even though I keep trying, so this will definitely be a challenge.

Psoriasis is a long-term autoimmune condition that causes patches of skin to become red, flaky, and painful. It affects around 2 million people in the UK.

By raising funds, I hope to help the Psoriasis Association continue providing support, advice, and funding for research into better treatments. If you can, please support my run — every donation helps (and might even help me get up and go for a run)."

Katie's Walking Challenge

Katie is challenging herself to walk at least 3km every day, whatever the weather, to raise funds for The Psoriasis Association, with the hope of completing a race later in the year.

In 2019, Katie noticed early signs of psoriasis and a year later she was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis after developing pain and stiffness in her hand.

Katie will also be donating all profits from chronic illness and psoriasis-related items available on her online shop to The Psoriasis Association. More details can be found on her Instagram @KaylewCreative.

Support Katie in her challenge by donating via her JustGiving page or keep an eye out for the item launch on her online shop.

Good luck Katie!

Devpal’s Nijmegen 4 Day Marches (Netherlands)

In July, Devpal took on the immense Nijmegen 4 Day Marches challenge (Netherlands) and walked 40km per day over 4 consecutive days to raise funds for the Psoriasis Association, in loving memory of his father who lived with severe psoriasis during the later part of his life.

On mentioning how the condition affected his father, Devpal said "It had affected his confidence, his daily comfort, and most importantly his wellbeing. Despite everything, he faced it with an enormous amount of strength and resilience. Whilst he is now no longer with us, his courage however inspires me every step of the way."

Devpal has raised an amazing £2,600. If you would like to give him a boost, you can support him by making a donation to Devpal's JustGiving Page which is still live.

Go Devpal!
