Psoriasis Association Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The Psoriasis Association’s 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on Saturday 20th June in Manchester as part of our Annual Conference.
An AGM is an important part of a charity’s governance, giving members the opportunity to celebrate an organisation’s achievements, review its progress over the previous year and adopt the annual accounts. It also offers members the opportunity to elect the officers who will run the organisation.
At the meeting, members were invited to consider trustee appointments and confirm those standing for re-election ensuring that trustees are formally approved by the membership. It also means that, as an organisation, we continue to be overseen by individuals with the skills, experience and commitment needed to support our work.
Trustees standing for re-election were presented to members and, following a vote, we are pleased to confirm that Steven Astaire, Michael Israel, Susan Morgan and Dr Julia Schofield were unanimously confirmed for a further term of office.
We are also delighted to announce that Dr Julia Schofield MBE was re-elected as Chair for a third year. Gill Hynes was elected as our Vice-Chair while Brian Murkin was re-elected as Treasurer for another term of office.
A huge thank you to all our members who attended the AGM. Your involvement is vital in helping to shape the charity’s direction and ensuring that our work continues to reflect the needs and priorities of all people affected by psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
