ARMA 'Act Now' Report Reception
We had the pleasure of attending ARMA's (the Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance) reception last week to celebrate the anniversary of the ‘Act Now’ report. The Psoriasis Association is a proud ARMA member and always keen to support their pivotal work.

The event, which fell on the one-year anniversary of the reports release, recognised the impact of the report so far and presentations discussed the importance of addressing MSK Inequalities.
Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) a condition which is associated with psoriasis and affects the joints, is considered a musculoskeletal (MSK) condition, and can impact various aspects of an individuals day-to-day life.
The 'Act Now' report highlights evidence for inequalities in MSK health whilst providing practical advice, solutions and signposting for health system reformers.
Strategies to tackle these inequalities include moving services to community spaces, developing shared ownership services, engaging with underserved groups, targeting tailored supported self-management, using data to identify barriers and starting interventions based on existing knowledge.
One of the presentations discussed how the report had been presented in schools and received feedback from young people. The 'Act Now' report demonstrated how paediatric MSK services face unique challenges, but they can support deprived areas through flexible engagement and collaboration.
