The Advocate for Dermatology Award 2025 recognises and celebrates an individual who has made a valuable contribution to dermatology as a non-dermatologist.

Nick has raised the awareness and profile of the speciality, championing the mantra of ‘right person, right place, right time’.
Voluntary role within the Psoriasis Association between 2011 and 2024. Serving as Chair of the Psoriasis Association between 2015-2024, where he played a vital role during a period of significant growth, including the transition to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and navigating challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Nick is kind, thoughtful, wise, and measured, hugely supportive and always encouraging those he works with to grow and develop.”
In recognition of his immense contribution to the Psoriasis Association, Nick was also appointed an Honorary Vice-President at our AGM, last summer in July 2024. Chief Executive, Helen McAteer and Psoriasis Association Chair, Dr. Julia Schofield MBE presented him with the award, acknowledging his years of dedication to the association.
The Psoriasis Association would like to congratulate Nick on his award, and thank him for being a longstanding advocate for dermatology. Well done Nick!
