Fundraising From Home
As fundraising from home becomes the new normal for the foreseeable future, take a look at some of the ways you can support the Psoriasis Association.
We are reliant on the kind donations of our supporters to continue our vital work helping people with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis to live well with their condition. Due to the current circumstances, demand for our services has increased significantly at a time when many fundraising events are being cancelled or postponed.
We need your help more than ever to ensure we can continue to support people with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis during these uncertain times, and with a little bit of creativity and an internet connection there are many ways you can raise money for the Psoriasis Association from home.
Take a look at the ideas below for some inspiration and then head over to either JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving to create your fundraising page.
Run a 10K
If your running event has been postponed, don’t let all that training go to waste; why not run a 10k in your back garden? You could livestream it via Facebook Live and link to a Facebook fundraiser to encourage your supporters to tune in and make donations.
Pub quiz
Host a virtual pub quiz using a free live streaming service, such as Zoom, Houseparty or Facebook Live and ask your friends to make a donation to take part.
Pub night
If you miss seeing your friends at the pub, plan a virtual pub night. Grab a drink and tune in to your chosen platform where participants can donate their usual round, or the cost of a pint to the Psoriasis Association.
Teach a class
Do you have a talent such as drawing, painting or playing an instrument? You could hone these skills and help others learn something new by making tutorial videos or livestreams and asking people to make a donation in return. Similarly, you could try setting up a yoga class or creating exercise tutorials.
Games night or tournament
Organise a live games tournament with your friends through Xbox live or PlayStation Network and ask for donations from players. Why not try to get your team to the top of the league on Fifa or see who has the best skills on Call of Duty?
Facebook Fundraiser
Create a Facebook fundraiser to create a dedicated page for your cause and ask your friends and family to make a donation to the Psoriasis Association. If you are livestreaming a fundraising challenge through Facebook, creating a fundraiser is a quick and easy way to encourage direct donations in app. Head to Facebook to get started.

Donate your stuff
Virgin Money Giving have teamed up with Ziffit so that you can donate the value of unwanted books, CDs, DVDs and games to charity. Simply set up a Virgin Money Giving page and click 'Donate your stuff' to enter the details of each product. Ziffit will then arrange to pick up the items and add the value to your fundraising page. You can also share your page to encourage others to donate their items too!
