Online self-help study - volunteers needed!

A new study is looking for people with psoriasis to trial an online self-help programme.

Psoriasis is not just physical - it can also affect mental health. To understand this, an upcoming study will look at whether an online programme could help.

What is the study trying to find?

Abbey Hackman, a doctoral student at Royal Holloway University, will be looking at:

  • How difficult it can be for people with psoriasis to access emotional support
  • Whether self-help can reduce distress and support wellbeing
  • Whether online support can build self-compassion.

How can I take part?

The study needs volunteers to:

  • Take part for around 9-15 weeks
  • Finish a five-week online self-help programme
  • Fill out questionnaires before, during and four-weeks after the programme

Abbey Hackman is supervised by Dr Michelle Wilson and Dr Alexandra Mizara. You can sign up or find out more online.
