Six years of PIF!

We have been awarded the PIF Tick for a sixth year - but what does that really mean?

Today, there is more misinformation than ever about psoriasis on the internet. Viral treatments, trends and online debates make it hard to know what to believe.

This concern led the Patient Information Forum launched the PIF Tick in 2020.

One of our aims is to offer psoriasis resources you can trust - so achieving the PIF tick again is a proud moment for us.

What is the PIF tick?

The PIF tick is the only quality mark for health resources.

There is strict guidance that each resource has to follow. In summary, this includes:

  • Documenting the process to create resources
  • Training and supporting staff
  • Listening to people to learn what they need, and involve them in the process
  • Writing in plain English
  • Making digital information easy to use
  • Using up-to-date, reliable evidence.

Each of our resources has been checked at this level. That includes our information sheets, website, leaflets... Anything you see with the PIF tick logo, you know you can trust!

You can find out more about PIF and the PIF Tick on their website.
