Rushden Lakes Information Day - Friday 18th July

Getting out in the community to meet you in real life, is one of our favourite ways to raise awareness here at The Psoriasis Association.

On Friday 18th July, we made our way over to sunny Rushden Lakes shopping centre Northamptonshire, to host an information stand at the community sheds.

We engaged in a variety of conversations and had people pop over to our stand to discuss all different types of psoriasis.

From general plaque and scalp psoriasis to PPP and psoriatic arthritis, our helpline team learnt more about how psoriasis affects individuals differently day-to-day, whilst signposting enquirers to useful resources.

Whether individuals were living with psoriasis or had family members and friends living with the condition, our helpline team were on-hand to answer questions and offer a listening ear. We were able to inform visitors of the latest research opportunities, as well as encourage people to get in touch with the GP to ensure they receive the right treatment and access to dermatology or rheumatology services.

The Psoriasis Association were complimented on how useful our literature is and how it has allowed people to understand the different types of treatments available through the GP or a specialist.

Our resources are designed with both people living with psoriatic conditions and healthcare professionals in mind. They aim to offer clear, accessible and accurate information and are ideal for supporting conversations with your GP or specialist to ensure you have clarity and input in the management of your condition.

As ever, the day offered a wonderful opportunity to raise awareness of psoriasis and meet so many of you in person.
